Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee evaluates and nominates candidates for open Officer, Director and Advisory Board positions of the HBA.  The Nominating Committee is comprised of past Presidents of the HBA and pursuant to the By-Laws, is not open to participation by any other members.

Pursuant to Section 8.2(a) of the By-Laws of the Hellenic Bar Association of Illinois, the Nominating Committee submits the following slate of candidates for election to the offices indicated at the 2010 Annual Meeting of Members to be held on June 17, 2010.  Please note that pursuant to Section 3.3 of the By-Laws,all Directors will be nominated and elected for 2 year terms.

The election on June 17, 2010 shall be conducted pursuant to Article VIII of the By-Laws.  In accordance with Section 8.2(b) of the By-Laws, Members, who meet the qualifications set forth in Section 8.1 of the By-Laws, for any position with respect to which the Nominating Committee has nominated candidates may also be nominated by means of a written petition which is signed by 30 members entitled to vote in accordance with Section 1.4 of the By-Laws and which is filed with the Secretary (Elleni Kouimelis) by May 27, 2010.
